Once your personalised treatment plan is confirmed, we begin your active treatment phase. For patients having braces, this starts with your braces being carefully placed at a dedicated appointment. The process is gentle and painless, and our team ensures you feel comfortable and well prepared throughout. For patients choosing Invisalign^®, a 3D scan is completed and your custom aligners are then ordered, designed specifically for your teeth. You will be shown exactly how to wear and care for your aligners before starting your series, ensuring you feel confident and well prepared from day one.

At the start of treatment, we provide detailed oral hygiene instructions to help you maintain excellent dental health throughout your orthodontic journey. For braces patients, this includes guidance on brushing and cleaning around brackets and wires. For Invisalign^® patients, we also explain how to clean your aligners and maintain good habits while wearing them. Every patient receives a brushing pack to support effective oral care from day one.

A key part of your success is maintaining consistent habits at home. Braces patients should avoid certain foods that may damage appliances, while Invisalign® patients must wear their aligners for 20–22 hours per day to ensure treatment progresses as planned. Compliance is essential for achieving the best and most efficient results.

Throughout your treatment, you will attend regular review appointments approximately every 6–12 weeks. These visits allow us to monitor your progress, make adjustments to braces, or provide new sets of Invisalign^® aligners as your teeth gradually move into position. These appointments are also an opportunity to answer any questions and ensure everything is progressing smoothly.

The length of orthodontic treatment varies depending on individual needs and complexity, but most cases take approximately 1 to 2 years to complete. We will always provide a clear estimated timeframe at the beginning of your treatment so you know what to expect.
