Meet Dr Fabiana
Dr Fabiana Petrykowski is a Specialist Orthodontist with over two decades of clinical experience.
She originally trained and worked as a general dentist before completing her Specialist Orthodontic qualifications in 2000.
After relocating to Perth with her family in 2006, Dr Fabiana successfully completed the Australian Dental Council examinations. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Dentistry with Honours at the University of Western Australia before being accepted into the Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) at UWA.
Dr Fabiana has a strong clinical interest in comprehensive orthodontic care, including complex cases and multidisciplinary treatment planning. She is committed to evidence-based orthodontics and remains actively engaged in ongoing professional development and advances in the field.

Dr Fabiana’s research includes a study examining airway morphology and its relationship to obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), BMI, and surgical intervention.
Dr Fabiana’s work highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary assessment in managing OSA, and that airway structure alone does not reliably predict disease severity or surgical outcomes. It reinforced her clinical interest in airway health as one of multiple factors considered in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning.
